The international forum "Digital Tajikistan 2025" was held in the capital of Tajikistan, organized with the support of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan , the Agency for Innovation and Digitalization under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Bank of the country .
Opening the forum, Isfandiyori Sadullo, Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, emphasized the importance of digitalization for the technological and social development of the state. "Digitalization is the main driver of innovative solutions and the technological development of society. In Tajikistan, we are seeing steady progress in the development of digital services. Internet service prices are falling in the country, while internet traffic volumes are steadily increasing," he noted.
Particular attention was paid to the opening of the first National Internet traffic exchange node Tajikistan Internet Exchange in May 2025, implemented with the assistance of the Communications Service and located on the premises of Tajiktelecom OJSC.
The forum was attended by more than 1,000 representatives of government agencies, financial institutions, fintech structures, retail chains, IT companies and telecom operators from Tajikistan, the CIS countries and international organizations at the global and regional level .
The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan was headed by the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov , who is the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications.
The forum focused on the following areas:

development of the digital economy;

improving the e-government system;

implementation of artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies;

development of digital services and digital banking;
-
development and strengthening of human resources for the digital economy, issues of education, science and innovation.
Forum participants discussed best practices in digitalization, opportunities to improve the quality of public services, as well as measures to attract investment and create an innovative environment for IT companies.
Following the events, recommendations were developed for the further development of the digital economy in Tajikistan, expanding access to modern digital technologies, and strengthening cooperation with partners from CIS countries and international organizations.
