As part of the International Investment Forum "Dushanbe-Invest 2025," Tajikistan Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin met with Tatyana Molchan, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the development of bilateral cooperation in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on several key areas. These included improving regional transport infrastructure, simplifying trade procedures, and stimulating economic integration within Central Asia.
Particular attention was paid to the rational use of water resources, the transition to a green economy and digitalization, as well as improving the efficiency of natural resource management and the development of innovative technologies in the republic.
Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin emphasized the importance of cooperation with UNECE to ensure Tajikistan's sustainable economic growth and the country's active participation in regional integration processes. In turn, Tatyana Molchan noted the Commission's readiness to support Tajikistan in implementing strategic projects aimed at sustainable development and modernization of its economic infrastructure.
The parties agreed to continue dialogue and strengthen cooperation within the framework of joint UNECE programs and initiatives aimed at sustainable growth, the development of a green economy, and the digital transformation of Tajikistan.
