Dear representatives of the media,
Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, I once again sincerely welcome you and the official delegation of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan.
Today, we held meaningful and constructive talks, during which we discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.
Our dialogue in an atmosphere of mutual understanding once again confirms the high level of relations between Tajikistan and Russia.
In this context, we spoke in favor of continuing political dialogue at various levels.
We have noted a steady growth in mutual trade.
Mutual interest in expanding trade and economic ties and diversifying trade turnover was confirmed.
Issues of attracting investment, creating joint ventures and implementing joint projects in priority sectors of the economy were also discussed.
These are, first of all, various sectors of industry, especially mining, light, food and processing industries, as well as non-ferrous metallurgy.
We also spoke in favor of investment cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and agriculture.
At the same time, we attach particular importance to developing cooperation in the field of digital economy and artificial intelligence.
We agreed to intensify contacts between the business communities of the two countries and create favorable conditions for investment.
In light of our recent agreements, we noted the need for the speedy implementation of the Agreement on the Establishment of an Industrial Park in Tajikistan.
They emphasized the importance of further development of interregional cooperation.
It is worth noting that today approximately 80 constituent entities of the Russian Federation have agreements on trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with regions of Tajikistan.
In the humanitarian dimension, we paid attention to issues of science and education, culture and art.
We noted with satisfaction the increase in Russian government quotas for students from Tajikistan.
We are grateful to the Russian Federation for its support in training Russian language teachers, publishing textbooks and teaching aids in Russian for schools in Tajikistan, and in the construction of five Russian-language schools.
I also thanked the esteemed Vladimir Vladimirovich for his support and assistance in the construction of the Center for Gifted Children and the Mayakovsky Russian Drama Theater in Dushanbe.
In this context, we emphasized the need for continued training of theater and film specialists at leading specialized educational institutions in Russia.
We reached an agreement on supporting academic exchanges, joint research initiatives, and holding forums for creative and scientific intellectuals.
They emphasized the importance of further expanding ties in the areas of tourism and sports as a factor contributing to the rapprochement of our peoples, especially young people.
Particular attention during the negotiations was paid to issues of regional and international security.
We discussed the situation in the region in detail, paying special attention to challenges and threats such as terrorism, extremism, arms and drug smuggling, and cyber threats.
They emphasized the importance of further coordination of efforts to effectively address these challenges.
They highly praised the well-coordinated interaction between law enforcement agencies, intelligence services, and defense departments of the two countries.
They emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in training personnel for law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, as well as military and military-technical specialists.
We also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation within international and regional organizations, where our countries traditionally have similar approaches.
Following the negotiations, a substantial package of bilateral documents on important areas of cooperation was signed.
In particular, documents were signed on labor migration issues, which strengthen the legal basis for further development of cooperation in this area.
In this context, it was noted that migration cooperation between the parties is progressing in a constructive direction.
We confirmed our shared readiness to further deepen our partnership in all areas and to implement the agreements reached in practice.
I am confident that the results of today's negotiations will give new impetus to the development of Tajik-Russian cooperation.
They will provide additional momentum for the implementation of joint projects and open new horizons for our cooperation.
