As of July 2025, there were 415 people over 100 years old living in Tajikistan, according to the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The republic's supercentenarians are 120-year-old Marziyamokh Ibodova, a resident of the Darvaz district, born in 1905, and 117-year-old Gulrakat Nazarova, a resident of the Dangara district, born in 1908.
According to statistics, as of January 1, 2025, there were 306 citizens over 100 years of age in Tajikistan, of which 169 were men and 137 were women.
The average life expectancy of the country's population has reached 76.6 years. This figure has steadily increased in recent decades, which officials attribute to improved living conditions, the development of the social security system, and high-quality healthcare for the elderly.
According to United Nations research, factors in increasing life expectancy include the country's economic development, a reduction in infant mortality, a reduction in mortality among the working-age population, and a reduction in alcohol and tobacco consumption.
The increase in the number of centenarians indicates positive changes in the republic's healthcare and social policy, and also highlights the importance of further developing programs to support older citizens.
