The 21st meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation on Economic Cooperation was held in Moscow. Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin participated in the meeting, according to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan.
The parties discussed current issues of interaction and prospects for further development of cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, financial and banking sectors, as well as in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture, education, science, and culture.
It was noted that by the end of 2024, the volume of bilateral trade turnover amounted to 1.9 billion US dollars, which is 200 million dollars more than the 2023 figure.
Following the meeting, a Protocol on Joint Activities of the Intergovernmental Commission was signed, providing for the further expansion of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of new joint projects.
