Since the beginning of 2025, Tajikistan has seen a rise in meat prices, according to the Presidential Statistics Agency.
According to official data, the price of lamb increased by more than 13%, and beef by 10%. Overall, meat prices in the country increased by an average of 7.4%.
Experts attribute the price increase to seasonal factors, as well as increased livestock and logistics costs. However, authorities emphasize that the food market situation remains under control.
As a reminder, meat traditionally occupies an important place in the republic's population's diet, and fluctuations in its cost directly impact household spending.
