The results of the first twenty days of the cotton harvest campaign have been summarized in the Sughd region. The ceremony took place at the Kamol Khujandi State Musical Comedy Theater, the regional administration reported .
Following the district labor competition, Matchinsky District took first place, while Spitamensky District took second. The Navobod rural jamoat in Jabbor Rasulov District won among jamoats.
Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda presented the winners with commemorative pendants and cash prizes. He also instructed cotton farm managers and responsible officials to ensure a timely, complete, and loss-free harvest.
According to the regional administration, the cotton production plan in the Matchinsky District is 27,300 tons. To date, 9,200 tons have been harvested, representing 33.9% of the planned volume. In the Spitamensky District, 4,100 tons of cotton have been harvested (28.7%), compared to the planned 14,300 tons.
The Sughd region plans to harvest 131,300 tons of cotton overall. To date, 31,400 tons have been harvested, representing 23.9% of the total.
"To successfully complete the campaign, it is necessary to mobilize all forces and use equipment and resources as effectively as possible," Akhmadzoda emphasized.
The cotton harvest campaign in Sughd Region continues. Regional authorities are counting on the efforts of agricultural workers to fully meet their planned targets.
