On September 3, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan held a ceremony dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Republic of Tajikistan's state independence. The event was attended by Interior Minister Colonel General of Police Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro, Secretary of the Security Council Rahmon Yusuf Akhmadzoda, employees and veterans of the internal affairs agencies, and other invited guests, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Minister of Internal Affairs Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro delivered a congratulatory speech, noting that independence had been an "invaluable blessing" that had allowed Tajikistan to showcase its historical achievements, world-renowned culture, peacefulness, and civilization to the world. He emphasized that the country has been renowned for its outstanding works of art and the scientific discoveries of its people throughout its thousand-year history.
On behalf of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and the leadership of the Government, Secretary of the Security Council Rahmon Yusuf Akhmadzod congratulated all employees of the internal affairs agencies on the holiday and noted the country's significant achievements over 34 years of independence, achieved thanks to the wise policies of the Head of State.
At the ceremony, 41 law enforcement officers were awarded state awards for their high level of responsibility in the performance of their official duties, their active participation in the detection and prevention of crimes, and their contribution to maintaining public order. More than 600 officers received industry awards, 21 officers were promoted to the rank of colonel, and more than 40 were promoted to special ranks one step higher than their current position. The awards were presented by Minister of Internal Affairs Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro and Secretary of the Security Council Rahmon Yusuf Akhmadzod.
At the conclusion of the event, the leadership and personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed gratitude to the country's top leadership, in particular Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, and promised to faithfully serve the independent Tajik people and state, strictly observing their oath.
