Tajik President Emomali Rahmon returned home after completing a working visit to the People's Republic of China, which took place from August 31 to September 3 in the cities of Tianjin and Beijing. This was reported by the presidential press service.
The distinguished guest was seen off at Beijing International Airport by representatives of China's leadership.
During his visit, Emomali Rahmon participated in meetings of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the expanded SCO-Plus meeting, where he delivered speeches and held a number of bilateral talks.
In addition, in Beijing, the President of Tajikistan attended a ceremony dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people in the War against Japanese Militarism and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Following the visit, eight new documents were signed on developing cooperation between various ministries and agencies of Tajikistan and China, covering the areas of economics, education, science, and culture.
