The Tajikistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (TAJMMAF) Junior Team won 13 awards and took first place in the team standings at the 1st Asian MMA Championships in Bahrain, the federation's press service reported.
The republic's team included 13 athletes, and each of them reached the podium. The Tajik athletes won six gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.

Following the tournament, Tajikistan took first place among 19 participating countries and earned a ticket to the III Asian Games, where mixed martial arts will be included in the competition program for the first time.
The federation noted that this result was historic for Tajik MMA and strengthened the country's position as one of the leaders in the development of this sport on the Asian continent.
