The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan and the Abu Dhabi Advanced Technology Council (ATRC) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in the field of artificial intelligence, the Tajik ministry's press service reported .
The signing took place during the launch of the National Artificial Intelligence Computing Cluster and the AI Industry Exhibition, held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
The agreement aims to accelerate scientific research, innovation, and commercialization of artificial intelligence solutions, with a focus on large-scale language models (LLMs), multimodal systems, and national AI infrastructure.
The partnership brings together the efforts of a number of organizations and companies, including the Council on Artificial Intelligence under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Technological Innovation Institute (TII), VentureOne, and the Tajik companies zypl.ai and zehnlab.ai.
The parties agreed on joint projects in a number of priority areas:

conducting research and development in the field of synthetic data and language models in Tajik and Arabic (TII and zehnlab.ai);

opening of VentureOne regional headquarters in Central Asia with a base in Tajikistan;

recognition of ATRC as a strategic international partner in the development of the Area AI special economic zone, focused on the formation of a full cycle of the artificial intelligence industry;

joint commercialization of promising solutions in Central Asia and beyond;

Attracting investment into Tajikistan's rapidly developing rare earth metals industry, which is key to high-tech production.
The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies noted that the agreement is an important step in developing international cooperation in advanced technologies and confirms Tajikistan's readiness to become a hub for the AI industry in Central Asia.
