Starting September 1, traffic police officers from the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will begin conducting a mock operation called "Istgokh," aimed at eliminating illegal parking, traffic jams, and other traffic violations. This was announced by the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs.
Particular attention will be paid to monitoring the stopping and parking of vehicles in prohibited areas, including on the second lane of the roadway. Ambulances and fire trucks are exempt.
The agency emphasized that drivers violating the rules will be subject to administrative liability under Article 324 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan. Violating vehicles will be immediately towed and sent to an impound lot for long-term storage.
"We urge all drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and avoid violations that create obstacles for other road users," the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
