In the first seven months of 2025, Tajikistan's industrial enterprises, together with private entrepreneurs, produced goods worth 34 billion 894.1 million somoni. This represents a 24.5% increase compared to the same period last year in comparable prices, according to the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the agency, the mining and manufacturing industries, as well as the energy sector, contributed the most to the growth in industrial production. The mining industry's output amounted to 11.7 billion somoni, 1.7 times higher than last year's figures. This increase was driven by coal and boron production (up 5.6%), crude oil and natural gas (up 2-fold), metal ores (up 1.7-fold), and various minerals (up 42.2%).
The manufacturing industry produced 16.2 billion somoni worth of goods. Specifically, food production, including beverages and tobacco, reached 5.5 billion somoni, textile and clothing products reached 1.5 billion somoni, and wood and paper products, including publishing, reached 393.5 million somoni. Petroleum product production amounted to 27 million somoni, chemical products to 303.3 million somoni, non-metallic mineral products to 2.2 billion somoni, and metallurgical products and finished metal products to 5.3 billion somoni.
Growth was also recorded in the production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and air purification sectors – by 12.7%, as well as water supply, waste treatment and recycling, and secondary raw materials – by 15.2%.
Thus, based on the results of January-July 2025, Tajikistan's industrial sector demonstrated stable dynamics, exceeding last year's indicators in almost all key areas.
