On August 19, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the City of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali opened a new building of the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Sino district of the capital, the press service of the head of state reported.
The new main building of the Directorate, consisting of four parts and 10 floors, was erected on an area of almost two hectares, taking into account the requirements of the police department and national architectural elements, and has a modern design.
The facility was built using funds from the budget of the Executive Authority of the City of Dushanbe.
Emomali Rahmon was informed that the new building boasts a well-developed infrastructure and extensive facilities: it houses 246 work and support rooms, a main conference hall with 346 seats, a small hall with 40 seats, barracks with 290 beds, a dining hall with a capacity of 178 people at a time, a sports hall for physical training, as well as sports grounds for mini-football, volleyball, and other sports.
A historical museum has been created on the ground floor of this building, reflecting the significant contributions and achievements of the capital's police officers.
It was noted that with the commissioning of the new building, police officers are now equipped with modern search and response equipment, which will play a significant role in strengthening the rule of law, combating crime, and maintaining public order in the country's capital.
The new building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dushanbe, erected as part of the construction and improvement works for the 35th anniversary of State Independence at the initiative of Dushanbe Mayor Rustami Emomali, not only created modern conditions for the work of law enforcement officers but also enhanced the capital's appearance with its aesthetic and beautiful appearance.
During the tour, Emomali Rahmon was presented with a project to build the Durakhshandagon Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for 640 students with a modern dormitory for 260 people.
This step is an expression of the state's special attention to the development of science and education, the upbringing of an educated generation, and the strengthening of the structural foundations of law enforcement agencies.
The entire surrounding area is completely paved, and rare ornamental trees are planted over an area of more than 3,200 square meters.
During his tour of the newly created conditions, the head of state praised the construction and equipment work and demanded that responsible officials and members of the capital's police force utilize the opportunities provided to serve conscientiously and be a model for maintaining law and order, public safety, and ensuring security and stability.
