A working meeting with a delegation from the Australian Football Federation was held at the office of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, the FFT reports.
The meeting with the Secretary General of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, Furkat Akhmedzhanov, the Head of the International Department of the FFT, Davlatmand Islomov, and the Director of the Women's Football League of Tajikistan, Suhrob Ashurov, was attended by the General Manager of the Women's Football Department of Football Australia, Carly Millikin, the FA's International Partnerships Manager, Tom Engelhardt, former Australian women's national team player Hema Simon, and the Deputy Ambassador of Australia, Jeremy Guthrie.
The meeting was timed to coincide with the participation of the Australian women's youth team (U-20) in the 2026 Asian Cup qualifying tournament in Dushanbe and the first joint CAFA-Football Australia seminar on the development of women's football.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, exchange of experience, joint initiatives and projects in the development of women's football, including coaching and educational programs, exchange of visits, and participation in international events.
