Rescuers from the Department of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for the Khatlon region saved a one-and-a-half-year-old girl who almost drowned in a pond near her home, the press service of the Committee reports .
The incident occurred in the village of Somoniyon, Kushoniyonsky District. The girl, born in 2024, fell into a body of water located near her home for unknown reasons. Thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, the child was pulled out of the water alive.
The KChS employees provided first aid to the victim on site, after which she was hospitalized. The girl is currently in the hospital, her condition is assessed as satisfactory.
According to the department, this is not the first case in the last week when incidents related to children falling into water have been recorded in the region. The Emergencies Committee once again calls on parents to observe safety measures and not leave children unattended.
