Tajik chess player Pairav Kodiri won the gold medal at the Kazakhstan Cup in classical chess among boys under 14. The tournament was held in Kazakhstan and brought together 128 participants from different countries.
According to the Chess Federation of Tajikistan, during nine rounds, Kodiri showed confident and stable play, scoring 7.5 points out of 9 possible and taking first place in the overall standings.
According to the organizers of the competition, the Kazakhstan Cup is one of the prestigious tournaments in Central Asia among young chess players. Pairav Kodiri's victory was not only a personal success for the young athlete, but also a significant achievement for the entire Tajik chess school.
The Chess Federation of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan congratulated the athlete and his mentors on the high award and expressed confidence that Pairav will continue to glorify the country in the international arena.
It should be noted that the development of chess in Tajikistan remains a priority area within the framework of the state program to support talented children and youth.
