Sportswomen from Tajikistan successfully performed at the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition, which took place on June 14-15 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and won 15 medals, including 12 gold. This was reported by the press service of the State Institution "Special Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 1" in Dushanbe.
The team of young gymnasts representing Dushanbe distinguished themselves among participants from eight countries: Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Japan, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Singapore and Tajikistan.
“Tajik athletes demonstrated a high level of training and confidently won 12 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals,” the sports school noted.
The performance was led by the head coach of the Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics of Tajikistan, Midzhgona Sharifova. The victories of Tajik gymnasts became an important contribution to the development and promotion of rhythmic gymnastics in the republic.
