On September 11, 2026, during a working visit by President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Rasht District, a number of facilities for various purposes were commissioned with the participation of Faizali Idizoda, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported to NIAT Khovar by the Executive Authority of State Authority of the Rasht District.
A 5-kilometer-long internal road was commissioned in the village of Gulhan, Askalon rural jamoat. At the initiative of the Akhmadzoda family, the road was completely paved.
It is noted that the project's implementation has created more favorable conditions for residents' transportation, free movement of vehicles, and the further development of local infrastructure.
A new confectionery workshop has also opened in the village of Garm. The facility was built with the aim of developing domestic production, creating new jobs, and supplying the local market with high-quality confectionery products.
Additionally, a new medical center was opened next to the district health center in the Garm jamoat. Equipped with modern facilities, it aims to improve the accessibility and quality of medical services, as well as create appropriate working conditions for healthcare workers.
A new building for the Rasht District Vocational and Technical Lyceum has also been commissioned. The two-story building includes 17 classrooms and seats 356 students.
The lyceum has 225 students, 40 of whom are girls. Education and training are provided by 35 teachers, including 8 women.
The educational institution trains specialists in professions in demand in the labor market and essential for the development of the local economy. Among the training areas are welding, computer systems, tractor driver training, sewing, carpentry and construction, electrical engineering, accounting, and driving. The lyceum also offers short-term vocational courses.
The lyceum building was constructed at the initiative and with the support of the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is noted that the new facility creates conditions for a modern educational process and improves the professional training of young people in the district.
The commissioning of the lyceum is seen as a step in the development of vocational education and training, taking into account the requirements of the labor market.
As part of events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, a monument to the famous poet and representative of modern Tajik literature, Mehmon Bakhti, was unveiled in the center of the Rasht district—the village of Garm.
The monument was erected as a sign of respect for figures of science and literature, as well as to honor outstanding representatives of the country's culture and literature.
