The Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of Tajikistan has begun implementing a Labor Market Information System (LMIS), which will consolidate information on unemployed citizens and available vacancies.
According to the ministry, the system is being created as part of the Social Protection and Economic Integration Modernization Project. It will include a registry of unemployed people and a unified job vacancy database, which will be used by labor and employment agencies across the country.

In June, employees from pilot cities and districts, including Khorog, Vahdat, and the districts of Kushoniyon, Farkhor, and Bobojon Gafurov, underwent training to test the functionality of the new system.
At the same time, to ensure the digitalization of the industry, high-speed internet was connected to 73 departments, divisions, and subdivisions of the Agency for Labor and Employment, as well as to educational institutions within the ministry's system.
The agency believes that the implementation of the digital platform will improve the efficiency of public service delivery, ensure transparency in the labor market, and expand citizens' access to information about job openings.
