In the first half of 2026, the volume of certified cotton products in Tajikistan reached 121,460.2 tons, a 38.6% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification, and Trade Inspection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the Agency's Cotton Inspectorate, 51,604.2 tons of cotton fiber, 9,670.9 tons of raw cotton yarn, and 1,163.5 tons of cotton fabric (equivalent to 3.33 million linear meters) underwent certification over the six-month period, as well as 26.5 tons of knitwear, 40.2 tons of sewing and furniture wadding, and 16.1 tons of silkworm cocoons and their waste. In addition, 58,938.8 tons of other products were certified.


A total of 121,460.2 tons of products were certified during the reporting period. This figure represented 120.5% of the first half of 2024 and 138.6% of the same period in 2025.
An analysis of certification results indicates an increase in the production of highly processed cotton products. Specifically, the production and certification volume of raw cotton yarn increased by 31.7% compared to the first half of last year.
The Agency noted that product certification is aimed at ensuring compliance with established quality requirements, protecting consumer rights, and increasing the competitiveness of domestic products in both domestic and foreign markets.
