Tajikistan's labor and employment agencies provided permanent employment to 40,644 people in the first half of 2026, representing 56.5% of the annual plan under the State Employment Promotion Program. This was announced today at a press conference by the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of Tajikistan, where the agency's performance for the first half of 2026 was summarized.
Compared to the same period last year, the figure increased by 0.3%.


Of the total number of employed people, 25,534 were hired for available vacancies, 4,825 were hired through quota-based jobs, 5,265 people found jobs after participating in job fairs, 3,764 graduates of training centers were employed following vocational training, and another 1,256 people started their own businesses thanks to preferential loans.
In addition, 1,120 people were employed in the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station.
During the reporting period, 80,627 people applied to labor and employment agencies, and 101,874 citizens used government employment services.
