A rare tree nursery covering over five hectares has opened in the Shahriston district of Tajikistan. It is home to over 7,500 rare, ornamental, and shade trees, according to the press service of the Tajikistan Committee for Environmental Protection.
The nursery, located in the Khurramdara district, opened on July 7, 2026. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon remotely opened the new facility during a working visit to the Shahriston district.


The nursery was created as part of the practical implementation of the State Program for Greening the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040.
According to the agency, more than 7,500 rare, ornamental, and shade trees are grown on an area of more than five hectares using modern methods.
