On July 6, as part of a working visit to the Sughd region, Tajik Interior Minister and Police Colonel General Ramazon Rahimzoda visited Department of Internal Affairs No. 1 in the Bobojon Gafurov District. He inspected the personnel's working conditions, the grounds improvements being carried out, and the renovation and reconstruction of the department's building, the department's press service reported.
During the visit, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was presented with the results of the renovation work completed at the facility. The need for continued work in this area was also noted. Ramazon Rahimzoda expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work performed and thanked everyone involved.





The minister then met with the unit's personnel. During the meeting, he demanded that the officers demonstrate a high level of responsibility, be prepared to protect the interests of the state and society, and effectively fulfill the instructions of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and their official duties.
The staff were given specific instructions on preventing offenses and crime, improving their operational training, and improving their language skills.
During his visit, Ramazon Rahimzoda also handed over to the unit a specialized Mercedes-Benz vehicle designed for transporting detainees.
As noted in the report, over the past three months, with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs leadership, the district's executive authorities, and with the involvement of entrepreneurs and personnel, a number of the unit's premises have been completely renovated.
In particular, repair work was carried out in the main building, corridors, offices, the duty room, the meeting room, the temporary detention facility, the cafeteria, sanitary facilities and showers.
In addition, the surrounding areas were landscaped and paved. Abandoned outbuildings were renovated and converted into a dormitory.
A covered parking lot for official vehicles and a training area were built in the unit's courtyard.
Special attention was paid to landscaping the area. Ornamental and fruit trees, shrubs, and flower beds were planted. As a result of these works, the exterior of the building and the surrounding area were improved.
