In Tajikistan, gold- and silver-bearing strata were discovered during geological exploration at the Sangi Surkh copper ore deposit, according to the country's Main Geology Directorate.
According to the agency, copper ore seams ranging from 2 to 20 meters thick were discovered at the Sangi Surkhi Chap site. The copper content in these seams ranges from 0.26% to 0.55%.

Geologists also identified gold- and silver-bearing strata ranging in thickness from 1 to 9 meters. Their gold content ranges from 0.24 to 0.85 grams per tonne, and silver content ranges from 1.9 to 2.93 grams per tonne.
At the Sangi Surkhi Rost site, the thickness of the identified copper ore layer reaches 2 meters, and the gold-bearing layer reaches 1 meter.

According to atomic absorption and fire assay results, the copper grade at this site ranges from 0.23% to 0.42%, while the gold grade ranges from 0.34 to 0.7 grams per tonne. The silver grade is recorded at 1.8 grams per tonne.
Geological exploration work at the sites is carried out within the framework of the State Program for the Development of the Geological Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021–2030.
