On July 2, Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Daler Juma, met with Thomas Eriksson, Director of the Green Climate Fund's Department for Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East, in Dushanbe. The ministry's press service reported this.
During the talks, the parties discussed Tajikistan's cooperation with the Green Climate Fund and opportunities for attracting funding for climate change-related projects. Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the areas of water resources and energy.


The meeting participants welcomed the approval of the Fund's Country Investment Program for Tajikistan, as well as the launch of the new regional program "From Glaciers to Farmers."
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Tajikistan views climate protection, rational use of natural resources, development of green energy, and strengthening climate resilience as priority areas of state policy.
Following the talks, the parties expressed their willingness to continue mutually beneficial cooperation and expand their partnership in implementing new climate projects.
