On June 30, the tenth round of annual political consultations between Tajikistan and the United States of America took place in Washington, D.C., according to the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Tajik delegation at the talks was led by Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the American delegation was led by US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapoor.


During the consultations, the parties reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, confirming their readiness to further strengthen the partnership between Tajikistan and the United States based on mutual respect and long-term mutually beneficial cooperation.
The negotiators paid special attention to regional security issues. A thorough exchange of views took place on countering terrorism, extremism, and cross-border crime.

In addition, the parties emphasized the importance of further coordination within international and regional organizations to strengthen peace, stability, and sustainable development in Central Asia.
Following the consultations, representatives of Tajikistan and the United States also expressed satisfaction with the further strengthening of the legal framework for cooperation in various economic sectors.
