The Technological University of Tajikistan and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics have agreed to develop new joint educational programs in a number of promising areas. The agreements were reached during a meeting in Minsk between Zoir Rahmonzoda, Rector of the Technological University of Tajikistan, and Vadim Bogush, Rector of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, according to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The parties discussed the creation of joint educational programs in the fields of microelectronics, fifth-generation (5G) communication technologies, and the modernization of educational programs in intelligent systems, information security, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies.
During the negotiations, issues of developing joint educational programs, creating double degree programs, joint training of master's and PhD students, as well as organizing courses for advanced training and retraining of personnel were also discussed.
The meeting participants focused on developing scientific collaboration. Specifically, they discussed joint publication of scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals, the implementation of joint research projects, participation in grant programs, and the creation of inter-university research groups.
Another key area of cooperation identified by the parties was the development of academic mobility for faculty and students. As part of this effort, they discussed the deployment of faculty to lecture and conduct classes, as well as engaging leading scholars from both universities in educational and research activities.
Following the meeting, representatives of the two universities confirmed their readiness to develop a joint action plan for the coming years and continue expanding cooperation in strategic areas.
Following the talks, the working delegation from the Technological University of Tajikistan visited the modern information and communication technology laboratories of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.
