A meeting between First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda and the UK Regional Attaché for Sanctions, Douglas Clark, took place in Dushanbe, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan.


During the talks, it was noted that Tajikistan places particular emphasis on developing mutually beneficial cooperation with international partners and is implementing the necessary measures to ensure the transparency and sustainability of the financial system, as well as to bring the financial sector into line with international standards.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of cooperation and prospects for further strengthening coordination in the financial sector. During the meeting, issues related to the functioning of the banking system of the Republic of Tajikistan, the effective implementation of international requirements and standards, and the improvement of oversight and risk management mechanisms were discussed.
The UK's Regional Sanctions Attaché, Douglas Clarke, praised Tajikistan's engagement with international partners in strengthening coordination mechanisms and further developing cooperation.
The Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad, informed the meeting participants about the measures being taken to ensure the stability of the banking system, comply with international requirements in the area of supervision and risk management, and strengthen compliance controls in financial and credit institutions.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation and expand collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
