During the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Riga, Latvia, a meeting was held between Yusuf Majidi, First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Alexander Pivovarsky, Director for Capital Markets and Financial Markets Development at the EBRD.
According to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, during the talks, the parties discussed the current state of financial cooperation, including the implementation of projects aimed at developing the capital market.
The meeting participants expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation. It was noted that in recent years, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has built effective and mutually beneficial cooperation with both the public and private sectors of the Republic of Tajikistan.
On the same day, Yusuf Majidi met with the Director of Structuring and Sales of the Currency Exchange Fund, Jerome Pirouz.
During these negotiations, the parties discussed issues of currency risk management, expanding access to international financial markets, and the use of the Currency Exchange Fund's instruments to implement projects in Tajikistan.
