On June 5, 2026, the Fourth Meeting of Industry Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic. The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan was led by Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The ministerial meeting was attended by heads of relevant departments of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the SCO Secretariat.


During the meeting, Sherali Kabir informed participants about the current state of industrial development in Tajikistan and the prospects for industrial partnership within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Following the discussions, the ministers approved the draft Regulation on the Data Bank of Industrial Investment Projects of SCO Member States, initiated by the Tajik side. They also decided to continue developing promising technological solutions for the implementation of economic investment projects. The creation of the Data Bank is expected to be submitted to the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO Member States for consideration.
In addition, the meeting participants agreed to continue work on creating a textile cluster and facilitating mutual access of light industry products to the markets of SCO member states.
Following the meeting, a Joint Communiqué was adopted, in which the participants emphasized the need to consolidate efforts to develop multilateral industrial cooperation and technological partnerships. The document also noted the importance of expanding cooperation with special industrial zones and industrial parks, sharing experiences in implementing advanced technologies and high-tech innovative projects, developing low-carbon and resource-efficient industries, and more active participation of enterprises in exhibitions and fairs, specialized forums, and expositions.
As part of the meeting, an International Trade and Industrial Exhibition was organized, at which leading industrial enterprises of Tajikistan presented their products.
