From June 2 to 4, the Republic of Belarus hosted the second staff talks on the organization and conduct of the command and staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces, "Indestructible Brotherhood-2026," and the special exercise involving the joint formation of radiation, chemical, and biological defense and medical support for the CSTO, "Barrier-2026," the Organization's press service reported.
The event was attended by representatives of interested ministries and departments of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the Joint Staff and Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
During the negotiations, the participants reviewed and agreed on the plans for the upcoming exercises, the composition of the command bodies and national contingents, the procedure for conducting practical actions, and issues of organizing comprehensive support.
In addition, representatives of the participating states conducted reconnaissance of the exercise areas at the Losvido and Starodorozhsky training grounds, where the main events are planned.
The command and staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces, "Indestructible Brotherhood-2026," and the special exercise, "Barrier-2026," are scheduled for October of this year in the Republic of Belarus.
The exercises will focus on preparing and conducting peacekeeping operations by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces, as well as actions to eliminate sources of biological threats.
