On June 3, Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda met with Pakistan's Federal Minister for Energy Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan in various areas.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the energy sector, which was identified as one of the key areas of bilateral cooperation. Specifically, the parties discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation to effectively implement the CASA-1000 regional energy project.


Kokhir Rasulzoda emphasized that Tajikistan has significant hydropower resources and prioritizes the production of environmentally friendly electricity.
During the meeting, the parties also confirmed their interest in expanding cooperation in industry, agriculture, processing, logistics, tourism, and the rational use of natural resources.
Following the meeting, the importance of further developing partnership relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan in a wide range of areas of mutual interest was noted.
