A star will be installed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in honor of former England international and co-owner of MLS club Inter Miami David Beckham, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce reports.
Beckham's star on Hollywood Boulevard will be unveiled on June 12. Actor Tom Cruise and Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girl and wife of the former Manchester United player, will perform at the Los Angeles ceremony.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
David Beckham is one of the most famous footballers of his generation. Over the years, he played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, and the England national team.
During his professional career, Beckham won 19 major trophies, including six English Premier League titles, a UEFA Champions League victory, and two FA Cups with Manchester United, as well as league titles in the US, France, and Spain.
In addition to his athletic achievements, Beckham is actively involved in charitable work. In 2005, he became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and in 2015, he founded the 7 Fund, which supports vulnerable children worldwide. In 2009, the footballer also became a founding member of the charity Malaria No More.
Beckham has also appeared in film projects. He starred in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (2015) and "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" (2017), and also appeared in popular TV series such as "Modern Family" and the documentary "Friends Reunion."
Beckham currently owns Inter Miami CF and was knighted last year. He now holds the title of "Sir," while his wife, Victoria, holds the title of "Lady."
