Two fatal road accidents involving pedestrians have been recorded in Tajikistan, the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
The first accident occurred on May 31, 2026 at approximately 9:50 pm in the village of Gurdondekh, Temurmalik district.
According to law enforcement agencies, the driver of the motor vehicle, Safarkhon Alimardonov, born in 1991, a resident of the Temurmalik district, was driving along the main road of the village when he lost control and struck a pedestrian, Tojiddin Ibrokhimov, born in 2005.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the pedestrian died on the way to the hospital.
The second road accident occurred on June 1, 2026, at around 07:10 in the Sino district of Dushanbe.
The driver of a KIA K5, Mukhamadali Abdurakhimov, born in 1992 and a resident of Dushanbe, was reportedly driving along Somoni Street toward Borbad Street. Opposite the Asia store, he struck a pedestrian, Sayvali Safarov, born in 1981, who was crossing the road in an unauthorized area.
The pedestrian died from his injuries on the way to a medical facility.
Investigations and investigations are currently ongoing in relation to both incidents.
