Tajikistan recorded an increase in production of basic construction materials between January and April 2026, according to the press service of the country's Statistics Agency.
According to published data, the industry's performance has increased compared to the same period in 2025.
The most significant growth was observed in cement production. In the first four months of this year, the country produced 1.5 million tons of the product, a 9.4% increase over the previous year.
Brick production also increased significantly. According to the Statistics Agency, enterprises in the republic produced 74.5 million bricks during the reporting period. Compared to the same period in 2025, production volume has almost doubled.
Growth was also recorded in the construction concrete segment. From January to April 2026, Tajikistan produced 236,000 cubic meters of construction concrete. The ministry notes that the increase in this segment was approximately 29%.
Furthermore, rebar production volumes have increased in the republic. According to statistics, output of this product in 2026 was almost 10% higher than last year's figures.
The Statistics Agency emphasized that the increase in production of building materials indicates the ongoing development of Tajikistan's construction industry and growing activity in the sector.
The department also noted that the republic had previously also recorded a decrease in the cost of construction materials—prices for these products fell by 1.2%.
