The Tajikstandard Agency reported the discovery of counterfeit products under the SPLAT brand for sale in Tajikistan.
The agency noted that the investigation began following a request from a company that produces and sells SPLAT toothpaste.
According to the agency, the counterfeit products were sold as genuine but did not meet quality and safety requirements. These products also lacked the necessary documentation, including a certificate of conformity.

Tajikstandart emphasized that some counterfeit goods manufacturers exploit well-known brands of essential goods to generate profit by labeling counterfeits as genuine products.
At the same time, the agency stated that counterfeit goods may differ from the original in quality, safety, and other characteristics. Some counterfeits are so carefully designed that they are difficult to distinguish from the genuine article.

In this regard, citizens and consumers are urged to purchase only original products and refrain from purchasing counterfeit goods.
Employees of the Trade Department of the Tajikstandard Agency have begun monitoring retail outlets and conducting outreach efforts. A certain amount of counterfeit products has already been removed from circulation, and related measures are ongoing.

The agency also recommended that citizens carefully inspect packaging and pay attention to the external differences between products before purchasing.
Tajikstandart emphasized that counterfeit products do not meet regulatory quality and safety requirements and may pose a health risk to consumers.
