On May 11, 2026, the "Tajik-China Digital Business Connect" IT forum was held in Beijing as part of the state visit of President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the People's Republic of China. The event was initiated by the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, as reported by the agency's press service.
The forum served as a platform for developing economic and technological cooperation between Tajikistan and China. Representatives of government agencies, leading information and communications technology companies, investors, and business leaders from both countries participated in the event.
The forum was reportedly attended by 70 companies from Tajikistan and more than 120 major Chinese technology companies, including Alibaba Group, ByteDance (TikTok), BYD, Huawei, DeepSeek, Kuaishou Technology, and Lenovo.









Participants presented their achievements and capabilities in the areas of digitalization, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, data centers, e-commerce, and digital services.
The forum's main goal was to create conditions for developing direct business and technological cooperation, attracting investment, implementing modern technologies, exchanging experiences, and promoting Tajikistan's potential in the digital economy and innovation.
During panel discussions and bilateral meetings, the parties discussed the development of the digital ecosystem, the expansion of technological infrastructure, the implementation of joint e-government projects, support for startups, strengthening human resources, and the implementation of modern technologies.












Following the forum, 28 cooperation agreements worth a total of $647 million were signed between Tajik and Chinese companies. This paves the way for joint projects, the introduction of advanced technologies, and the further strengthening of economic and technological ties between the two countries.
The Tajik-China Digital Business Connect forum is seen as an important step in strengthening strategic technological partnership and expanding digital and economic interaction between Tajikistan and China.
