The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan issued an official statement in connection with the death of a serviceman from one of the military units, Ibrokhimov Golibjon Safaralievich.
The agency reported that it reviewed materials published and distributed on social media related to this case. It emphasized that some of the posts were posted without thorough analysis, expert opinions, or the results of the investigation. The committee also noted that in some cases, the dissemination of opinions by individuals was limited and biased.
The Committee's leadership and personnel expressed their deepest condolences over the untimely death of the private and stated that they share the pain of loss with his parents, family and friends, wishing them patience and fortitude.
The statement emphasizes that the country's relevant authorities have launched a full and comprehensive investigation to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident, as well as to hold those responsible accountable.
The committee also noted that free access to medical facilities for examination and treatment of military personnel is provided. In this regard, it was noted that charging for treatment was unjustified, and the transferred funds were used for personal needs.
The committee also commented on the deceased's mother's claims that the military unit was not a school of courage and valor. The committee stated that the conditions of service meet established requirements, and that discipline and educational issues are under constant review.
According to the information provided, Ibrokhimov Golibjon Safaralievich was born on August 10, 2003, in the Mir Said Aliyi Hamadoni district and graduated from the National University of Tajikistan. On October 1, 2025, he was called up for military service.
On April 4, 2026, a service member sought medical attention complaining of stomach pain. On April 7, he sought medical attention again and was subsequently sent for an examination, during which no foreign bodies were found, and he was granted leave.
On April 14, he was sent to a military hospital, where he underwent examination and treatment. On April 21, he was discharged in satisfactory condition.
On April 23, the serviceman was hospitalized in serious condition. Despite receiving medical attention, he was pronounced dead on April 25, 2026.
The Committee once again expressed its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and called on them to refrain from disseminating unverified information until the investigation is completed.
