As a result of operational investigative measures, police officers determined that a 35-year-old resident of the Matcha district is suspected of threatening to kill, the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
According to the investigation, on April 7, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the suspect arrived in his Hyundai Sonata at the residence of his acquaintance, a 35-year-old resident of the same area.
The conflict was reportedly caused by rumors spread by the suspect that he was allegedly in a relationship with a married woman.
According to investigators, the man forced the victim into a car and, while driving, took a utility knife and began insulting him and threatening to kill him.
The victim attempted to take the knife from the suspect, but in the process received a stab wound to the hand.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Article 120 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. The investigation is ongoing.
