On April 27, 2026, a delegation from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat took part in the international scientific and practical conference "Contours of a New Collective Security Architecture: Current Issues in the CSTO Information and Analytical Partnership" in Moscow, according to the SCO press service.
The event was organized at the invitation of the CSTO Secretariat and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Representatives of the Russian executive and legislative branches, strategic research institutes of SCO member states, ambassadors, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the international expert and academic community participated in the conference.

SCO Deputy Secretary-General Akhmad Saidmurodzoda addressed the plenary session. In his address, he outlined the organization's comprehensive efforts to modernize mechanisms for countering security challenges and threats, as well as its political and diplomatic response to crises in the region.
He emphasized the SCO's commitment to an approach that excludes bloc-based and confrontational solutions to international and regional problems, in accordance with the Tianjin Declaration of the Council of Heads of State.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Roadmap for Developing Cooperation between the SCO, CIS, and CSTO, approved in September 2025. The importance of expanding cooperation between the scientific and expert communities of the member states of these organizations was noted.
As part of his participation in the conference, Akhmad Saidmurodzoda also answered questions from representatives of Russian and foreign media.
