On January 27, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan between Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali and a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), led by JICA Senior Vice President Yoshikawa Yoshifumi. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and JICA, issues of socio-economic development, including healthcare and social protection, the implementation of priority joint projects, and opportunities for expanding technical and investment support.


Particular attention was paid to priority areas of national economic development, strengthening institutional capacity, and further expanding cooperation within the framework of JICA programs.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and expanding into new areas, expressing interest in the effective implementation of existing programs and exploring new opportunities for technical cooperation.
