In 2025, citizens were fined a total of 10,989,681 somoni for failure to comply with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Traditions and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan," of which 7,028,808 somoni have already been transferred to the state budget. This was announced at a press conference by Sulaimon Davlatzoda, Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs.
According to the Committee, 1,297 cases were reviewed under Article 481 of the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on Administrative Offenses in 2025, compared to 1,435 in 2024. Administrative penalties were imposed in 1,268 cases, and another 29 cases were dismissed by the courts.


Data on the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Traditions and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan" was also provided. During the reporting period, 112,946 events and ceremonies were registered across the country, which is 1,907 fewer than the same period last year. Of these, 1,912 events were registered in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, 24,716 in the Sughd Region, 46,514 in the Khatlon Region, 14,625 in the city of Dushanbe, and 25,179 in the Districts of Republican Subordination.
It was reported that permanent local commissions for the regulation of traditions and rituals under the executive bodies of state authorities in regions, cities, and districts held 11,694 discussions and meetings during the reporting period to promote and explain the essence of the law and ensure compliance with its requirements. Of these, 582 meetings were held in Dushanbe, 629 in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, 2,482 in the Sughd Region, 3,910 in the Khatlon Region, and 4,091 in cities and districts of republican subordination.


During the reporting period, 26,071 raids were conducted as part of the events. 7,492 raids were conducted in Dushanbe, 200 in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, 3,249 in the Sughd Region, 6,050 in the Khatlon Region, and 9,080 in cities and districts of republican subordination.
According to data provided by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan, in 2025, 1,297 administrative offense cases were reviewed in the country for non-compliance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Traditions and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan" under Article 481 of the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on Administrative Offenses, which is 138 cases fewer than in the same period last year. Punishments were imposed in 1,268 cases, and 29 cases were dismissed by the courts during the trial. The total amount of fines imposed amounted to 10,989,681 somoni, of which 7,028,808 somoni were collected.
