In 2025, the National Bank of Tajikistan will continue its exchange rate policy based on a "floating, regulated exchange rate regime without defining or announcing exchange rate limits." This was announced by Firdavs Tolibzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, at a press conference.
According to him, the official exchange rate of the somoni against the US dollar strengthened by 15.4% during the reporting year.
Taking into account the situation in the global economy, the official exchange rates of the national currencies of most of the main trading partners of the Republic of Tajikistan also changed in relation to the US dollar.
In particular, the Russian ruble strengthened against the US dollar by 23.07%, the Uzbek sum by 6.93%, and the Chinese yuan by 2.22%.
At the same time, the Turkish lira exchange rate against the US dollar fell by 21.49%, and the Kyrgyz som by 0.48%.
