A meeting between Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Daler Juma, and Uzbekistan's Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, took place in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Tajik ministry.
The negotiations took place in a working atmosphere. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.


It was noted that, at the initiative and with the political will of the heads of state – Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev – relations between the two countries in all areas, including energy, are dynamically developing and consistently expanding.
The parties discussed a wide range of cooperation issues, including the coordination of electricity exports and imports, particularly during the autumn-winter period, as well as the implementation of the project "Restoring Connection to the Unified Energy System of Central Asia."
Following the meeting, the ministers expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation achieved and confirmed their readiness to further strengthen fraternal and strategic relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
