In Khatlon region, construction of the Pushing irrigation system, Lot-3, continues within the framework of the project “Improving water resources management in Khatlon region”.
To date, the total volume of work completed has exceeded 60%. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Sughd region.
The project aims to develop modern irrigation infrastructure and improve water use efficiency in the region. Work is currently underway in several key areas.






Among the most significant stages are the construction of the NS-2 pumping station, the installation of three pumping units, the installation of a 1,020-meter-long 720-mm-diameter pressure pipeline, and the development of a closed irrigation network with a total length of over 30.5 km. Furthermore, construction continues on 10.9 km of water collection canals, the No. 2 siphon made of 820-mm-diameter metal pipes, and a drip irrigation system covering an area of 530 hectares.



At the same time, metal structures, pipelines, valves and fittings are being installed at the site, ultrasonic testing of welded joints is being carried out, excavation work is being carried out at the siphon section, as well as concreting and reinforcing the tanks.
The project's implementation will improve the reliability of the irrigation infrastructure in the Khatlon region and create more efficient conditions for water supply to agricultural land.
