To improve the financial literacy of the population and ensure the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of citizens as consumers of financial services, the "Program for Improving Financial Literacy of the Population for 2026–2030" was approved by Government Resolution No. 75 of February 26, 2026, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan.
It is noted that increasing the level of financial literacy of the population plays an important role in the development of the banking system, ensuring its effective functioning and strengthening public confidence in the country's financial system.
In this context, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Bank of Tajikistan, in cooperation with relevant ministries and agencies, financial institutions and development partners, is implementing a number of measures to improve the financial literacy of the population.
With the expansion of financial inclusion, the spread of cashless payments, and the rapid growth of digital financial services in the country, the importance of financial literacy among citizens for ensuring the stability of the financial system has increased.
The main goal of the program is to foster rational financial behavior among citizens when making decisions related to managing personal funds, to ensure the protection of their rights and interests as investors and consumers of financial services, and to improve the standard and quality of life of the population through the use of high-quality financial products and services.
