On April 1, 2026, political consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of India were held in Dushanbe. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the consultations, the parties exchanged views on prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to strengthening political dialogue, economic and trade relations, attracting investment, and developing ties in science, education, economics, trade, and culture.
Furthermore, the meeting participants discussed issues of multilateral cooperation, including within the Central Asia-India Dialogue and within international and regional organizations. The parties expressed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation within these structures.
