Tourists and residents of large cities in Tajikistan can check messages, post photos, or watch videos while walking, without paying for internet traffic. MegaFon Tajikistan's Green Wi-Fi network is available in parks and public spaces in Dushanbe, Bokhtar, Kulob, and Khorog. The project already covers key locations and continues to expand.
In Dushanbe, the operator's Wi-Fi service has been launched in S. Ayni, A. Donish, Kurushi Kabir, A. Firdavsi, Rudaki, and Molodezhny parks, in the arrivals hall of Dushanbe International Airport, and on Rudaki Avenue 100, with coverage extending toward Istiklol Park. In Bokhtar, Kulob, and Khorog, Green Wi-Fi is available in central parks and popular recreation areas. Free internet is available to users for a limited time, up to 30 minutes. For longer internet access, a paid plan with the required data volume is sufficient.
How to use Green Wi-Fi:
– connect to the Green Wi-Fi network – the authorization page will open automatically;
– select the login method via SMS;
– enter your mobile phone number and receive a confirmation code;
– enter the code on the authorization page;
– choose a free (10 or 30 minutes) or paid package;
– To access for free you need to watch the commercial.
"We're developing Green Wi-Fi not just as a convenient service for everyday life. Having Wi-Fi on the streets, in favorite vacation spots, and near major landmarks helps create a positive impression of our country. Both tourists and city residents have the opportunity to freely use digital services and share the highlights of their walks," says Oleg Grebenkov, Head of Sales and Service for Free Broadband at MegaFon Tajikistan.
