On April 22, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, along with heads of state and delegation members, visited the summit exhibition in Astana, Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of the Regional Environmental Summit on "A Shared Vision for a Sustainable Future." This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
The exhibition featured a Tajikistan pavilion showcasing the country's contribution to advancing the climate agenda.

During their visit to the pavilion, the heads of state were briefed on the global challenges of glacier melting, biodiversity conservation, and environmental improvement. The importance and priorities of the transition to a green economy and the development of ecotourism were also discussed.
The exhibition places special emphasis on Tajikistan's natural diversity and cultural heritage, its traditions, crafts, and art, reflecting the people's close connection with the environment.

It was noted that the country places particular importance on preserving biodiversity and the harmony between humans and nature. Among the measures being implemented are programs to protect the snow leopard, as well as to restore the population of markhor and argali (also known as Marco Polo sheep).
It is emphasized that these areas are among the priority measures implemented by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
